| Runner R1 at third, R2 at 2nd two outs and B5 hits the ball to F5 who fields it cleanly and for some crazy reason makes a play on R2 but the out happens on R2 after the run scores. B5 saw the out and stopped running and never reached first base. F5 throws the ball to first base and field umpire signals an out Does the run count?

| ASA only allows 4th out appeals on runners who have scored. Somewhere there is a plays and clarifications stating once the 3rd out has been recorded the batter is not expected to complete running to 1st base. Further, 2007 ASA case play 5.5-7 supports this ruling.
With 2 outs, R1 on 3b, R2 on 2b, B5 strikes out but the ball gets past F2. R1 scores and R2 is out at the plate, but B5 failed to run to 1st base, and F2 after tagging out R2 throws to 1st base for the fourth out. Does the run score?
Ruling, R1's score is NOT nullified. 4th out appeals must be on a runner who has scored.

| Per Rule Supplement on Appeals section called 4th out appeal. The only appeal that may be made after the third out of inning as long as it done properly. The appeal must be made on a runner that has scored but missed a base or left a base too soon. Since the Batter-Runner did not score this appeal will not be accepted.
