| Team A starts the game with the DP in the 4th spot in the order, and the Flex in the 10th spot and pitching. In the 5th inning the coach reports that the DP will play short stop. In the 6th the coach reports that the Flex will bat for the DP. No other changes are reported for the rest of the game. Legal or not?

| Since no one has responded, yes it is legal. The DP may play defense for anyone other than the Flex and no one has left the game. But, once the Flex batted for the DP, the DP has left the game and must use a re-entry to come back into the lineup.

| Yes this is legal. RKB is correct. note that even though they started the game with 10 defensive players, they legally ended the game with only 9. It is also not a bad idea when the coach makes the change, just to remind that the DP has now left the game.
