| Runner at second. 3-1 count on righty batter. Pitch is low and outside for ball four. Catcher comes up throwing to pick off the runner at 2nd base who is too far off the bag. Her throw hits the BR who is outside the box heading to first. Your call?

| Have to be there to make the call. One has to interpret the actions of the batter/runner. If the batter was making normal effort to go to first then you have nothing ball is live. If the batter hesitates or in someway moves to purposely block the throw then you have interference. The batter runner/runner is out and the runner closest to home would be out. This may have changed as I have been away from softball for sometime.

| This is a judgement call, based on the question with the batter/runner doing nothing wrong. The call would be live ball and play on. If in your judgement you thought that the Batter/runner intentionally ran in front of the plate to get in the catchers way. Yes you can call interference

| I agree with Neal... since BR is entitled to 1B, unless she made an obvious attempt to interfere, we have a live ball, play on. If you feel BR did INT, she's out & runner goes back to 2B. R2 is not out, as the INT was not by a retired runner
