Clancy's Pub Uses Late Surge To Pull Past Grahams
Clancy's Pub seemed off balance against light tossing Max Graham as they struggled thru 6 innings tied at 3. Then as the skies darkened the offence came alive with a huge rally. The top of the 7th was led off by Eric Fichter singling then being moved up by a perfect sac bunt from Jay Moog. The next batter was AJ Kavinsky who promplty singled home Fichter with the go ahead run. AJ atoned for a bad error which led to the tying run being scored in the 5th. Dylan Didomenico then singled home Kavinsky to lengthen the lead, but the big blow came from Joe Aul a 2 run bomb into the playground area. The lead was to much for Grahams to overcome as Brett Horowitz struck out the final 2 batters of the game. Offense was led by Didomenico 3-3 2 runs 2sb, Aul 3-4 3 runs 3 rbi a HR and 2 sb, and Theobald who continued his torrid hitting going 2-4 with an rbi, that gives Theobald 10 rbi in his last 3 games. Brett Horowitz went the distance for the Tarheels striking out 9 and scattering 9 hits. Clancy's Pub is back in action Saturday against Quinn in a battle for 3rd. Game Time is scheduled for 5pm at Baker Field in Upper St Clair, come out and enjoy some fun.
