Summer 2008

6/1/08-Pequannock 7 Franklin 0-Kyle Aug had a 2 run double,and Kev Stasiak had 2 hits. Matt Jenisch and Joey DiFranco combined to pitch the shutout.


6/1/08-Pequannock 4 Milton 3-Ryan Maloney homered in the seventh to break the tie.Kev Stasiak had three hits, and Matt Jenisch added two. Kev Wilson went the distance on the mound,scattering five hits and striking out 11.

6/07/08-Pequannock 4 Newton 2-Kevin Wilson had 2 RBI, winning pitcher Matt Jenisch went the distance scattering three hits,and striking out 13. Jenisch also had two doubles. Kevin Stasiak made several outstanding plays in center

6/08/08 - Mt Morris 5 - Pequannock 4-Kevin Wilson and Ken Monteith of Mt Morris were locked in a pitchers battle. After seven innings the score was tied at two. In the eighth Mt Morris scored three, and Peq answered back with two to fall short 5-4. Ryan Maloney had two hits and Kyle Weiss pitched an inning of scoreless relief.

6/08/08-Pequannock 3 Parsippany 3-This contest also went eight innings before being called due to darkness. Kevin Stasiak had three hits. Pitcher Ed Murphy went the distance striking out six.

6/11/08-Pequannock 10 Sugarloaf 3-The home team pounded out 14 hits in the win. Kyle Weiss, and Ryan Maloney each had three runs batted in. Kyle Aug, George Chrencik, Ryan Griffin and winning pitcherBrad Smith all had two hits apiece.Pitcher Smith allowed just 2 hits, and struck out seven in going the distance.

6/12/08-Wharton 4 Pequannock 2-Peq rallied late, but could not overcome shaky defensive play,and sloppy baserunning. Mike D'Amato and Brian DeYoung had RBI doubles.

6/15/08-Pequannock 2 Randolph 0-Winning pitcher Brad Smith threw a gem, scattering four hits, with 7 strikeouts. Matt Jenisch and Jordan Greenberg had RBI hits in the two run fourth inning for the home team.

Fall 2007


GAME RESULTS
Sun Sept 9-Blacksox 9 Patriots 6-The Patriots dug themselves into an early hole, due to some shaky defense, but fought back to make a game of it. Nick Kutzelman had two rbi,and Justin Martinez had two hits. Mark Ortiz,Ryan Akers,and John Chorba also had rbis.

Sat Sept 15-Patriots 6 Bloomfield 4-Mark Ortiz had three hits, including a towering home run, and John Chorba added a two run double. Pitcher Matt Jenisch allowed only one hit through six innings, before needing late
relief help from Ed Murphy.

Sun Sept 16-Patriots 6 Vipers 3(9 innings)-Pitcher Ed Murphy threw a strong seven innings, followed by two scoreless innings from Keith Picher as the team ralled for a come from behind win. Matt Jenisch had two hits and three rbi. Picher, and Mark Ortiz also had two hits.

Sat Sept 22-Patriots 9 Parsippany 2-Pitchers Keith Picher, and Justin Martinez combined to hold Parsippany to just three hits. Kyle Weiss had two rbi, and John Chorba added two hits.

Sun Sept 23-Patriots 3 Braves 0-The team broke open a scoreless game with three 5th inning runs. Nick Kunzelman knocked in the first run with a single, and Mark Ortiz plated another with a booming triple. Pitcher Matt Jenisch went the distance, scattering four hits.

Sun Sept 30-Patriots 7 Pirates 2-In the opener of a twinbill,Keith Picher had two hits and two rbi, as well as pitching all seven innings,allowing four hits and striking out ten. Other runs were driven in by Ryan Akers, John Chorba,Kyle Weiss, and Nick K.

Patriots 9 Pirates 5-Jordan Greenberg had three hits, with Mark Ortiz, and Matt Jenisch adding two apiece to lead the offense.Ed Murphy was the winning pitcher.

Tues Oct 2nd-Patriots 10 Rockaway 0-The bats were booming as Ryan Akers had three hits, and John Chorba and Ryan Maloney had two rbi. Pitcher Matt Jenisch allowed only two hits.

Sat Oct 6-Patriots 7 Black Sox 0-The Patriots recorded their second consecutive shutout as Keith Picher hurled a brilliant two hitter. Picher and Ryan Maloney each had two rbi,and Justin Martinez added two hits.

Sun Oct 7-Patriots 10 Bloomfield 5-The team broke open a tight game with a five run sixth. Jordan Greenberg, and Keith Picher each had two rbi. Winning pitcher Ed Murphy overcame some spotty defense to go the distance.

Sunday Oct 14-Patriots 5 Parsippany 0-Matt Jenisch fired a one hitter with nine strikeouts. Keith Picher had two rbi,and Justin Martinez, and Kyle Weiss each added two hits. Ryan Maloney launched a booming double, that just missed being a homer.

Patriots 4 Vipers 0-The team won their eleventh game in a row, and the pitching staff chalked up their fifth shutout, as Ed Murphy allowed just two hits.Murphy and Justin Martinez had rbi singles in a three run 3rd inning rally.

Sunday Oct 21-East Division Playoff: Patriots 5 Rockaway 4-The Patriots had an exciting come from behind win, in extra innings. Matt Jenisch drove in two runs with a double, and triple. Keith Picher added two hits, and Nick Kutzelman had an rbi single.

Sunday Oct 28-East Division Playoff: Patriots 5 Black Sox 0-The Patriots broke open a close contest with a four run sixth to claim the Eastern Division Title. Ryan Akers,Matt Jenisch,Ryan Maloney,Brad Smith, and Kyle Weiss all had rbis.Jordan Greenburg added a booming triple. Jenisch went the distance striking out twelve.

Sunday Nov 4-League Championship: Union Athletics 4 Patriots 2-The Patriots battled hard, but fell to a tough Union squad. John Chorba had two hits, and Matt Jenisch drove in two with a long triple.Congratulations to all on a great season with a final record of 14-2.

Parsippany's stingy defense stopped several rallies, but Brad Smith was outstanding on the mound, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 13.

The offense lit up the scoreboard as Brian Schiavone, Brad Smith, Brian DeYoung, and Chris Economou each had 2 RBI, while Kyle Aug had 3. Kevin Wilson and Eddie Murphy combined for the one-hit shutout.

The defense was a little off, and the offense stranded too many runners in a tough loss. Jim Economou and Brad Smith had two hits each.

Romeo DeLuca drove in the winning run, while Mike Louro and Eddie Murphy drove in the other runs in an exciting come-from-behind win. Bryan Yackulic started the game tying and winning rallies with singles. Pitcher Kevin Wilson scattered three hits while striking out 13.

Brian Schiavone and Chris Economou each had two RBI, while Kyle Aug added two base hits. Winning pitcher Matt Jenisch went the distance allowing only 4 hits and striking out 8.

After collecting just two singles through the first five innings, the offense roared to life with three in the sixth, and four more in the seventh. Matt Jenisch had a two run triple, and Romeo DeLuca a two run double. John Chorba and Kyle Aug also knocked in runs.

Bulldogs 8, Patriots 6 (Fall 2006)

Sloppy defense and mental errors allowed the Bulldogs to jump out to 8-0 lead in a non-league game which was stopped after five innings due to time limit. Brian Kirn had three RBI in a late comeback attempt.

Pitchers Matt Jenisch and Eddie Murphy held down Mendham, and a five run first inning was capped by Jenisch's 3 run HR.

The defense made several outstanding plays, including John McNamara's throwing out of a runner at first base from right field. Romeo DeLuca scattered three hits for the complete game win, and Bryan Yackulic had two base hits, while Chris Economou drove in two runs.

The offense smoked a season high 16 hits. Romeo DeLuca and Matt Jenisch had three hits each, while Bryan Yackulic, Brad Smith, Jim Economou, and Brian Kirn each added two. Pitchers Jenisch and Kyle Aug combined to strike out 12 batters.

Pitcher Ed Murphy allowed just two hits, while striking out nine. The offense was led by Brian Yackulic with three hits and two rbi, Chris Economou with two hits,two rbi,and John Chorba with three rbi.

Big hits were the rule as Vince Fondacaro blasted a three run homer,Brad Smith lined a two run triple,and Chris Economou added two more with a double. Pitchers Matt Jenisch and Kyle Aug combined to hand E. Hanover their first loss.

Patriots 7, Imperial All Stars 2 (Fall 2006)

Pitchers Kevin Wilson and Kyle Aug combined to strike out thirteen, while the offense was led by Brian Kirn's long three run homer,and Brad Smith's double and triple. Vince Fondacaro also added an rbi double. Today's doubleheader sweep allowed the Patriots to
finish 11-1 for the regular season. Great job everyone!!!

Romeo DeLuca allowed just two base hits,while striking out seven, and the offense was led by home runs from Brad Smith,and Matt Jenisch, who had five runs batted in. Also,Kyle Aug knocked in a pair, and Vince Fondacaro added an RBI triple helping the team to advance to the next playoff round.

This game was a tight one until the Patriots broke it open with a four run sixth featuring rbi singles from Brad Smith,Brian Schiovone, and a long two run homer by Brian Kirn. Pitchers Kevin Wilson,and Brad Smith combined to stop Morristown and they each picked a man off 1st base in the seventh inning! Earlier in the game Chris Economou drove in two with a clutch bases loaded single.

The Rockaway Knights ended the Patriots season with timely hitting and great defense that stopped several Patriot rallies. Brad Smith turned in an outstanding relief effort,and Brian Kirn had a three run homer. Congratulations to all players on a great fall season!!
