May 26-at Morris Eagles- the season opener resulted in a 5-5 tie as the game was called after 7 due to darkness.RBIs were credited to Eriq Colon, Jim Huber, Sean Jones, and 2 for Al Ianuzzi. Blake Smith went the distance on the mound.
May 28-at Parsippany Trojans-After Parsippany scored 2 in the first inning, the Patriots roared to life with 4 in the 2nd, 4 in the 3rd, 2 in the 4th, and 5 in the 7th for a 15-2 win. Jordan Aughey had 2 RBI, Sean Jones had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, Al Ianuzzi socked a 2 run homer, and Eriq Colon blasted a grand slam homer. Tom Ackershoek had 2 base hits in the 7th inning, and Tyler Aug added a pinch hit triple. Chris Cerf was the winning pitcher.
June 4- After several rainouts, the Patriots coasted to a 10-0 6 inning win over Jefferson. Brett Zaziski had 3 hits and 4 rbi, including a 2run homer. Jordan Aughey and Mike DeSenzo each added 2 rbi, and Eric Fernandez and Al Ianuzzi each had 2 hits. Pitcher Blake Smith was outstanding, scattering 4 hits, with 6 strikeouts in tossing the shutout.
June 8- The Patriots battled a tough Sussex team to a 4-4 tie in a contest halted after 6 innings. Jordan Aughey had 2 RBI and John Bujtas added another.
June 9- The Patriots traveled to Hopatcong to take on the Hornets and came away with an 8-4 win. Brett Zaziski and John Bujtas each had 2 Rbi, and Jim Kenny added a solo HR. Tom Ackershoek pitched well in relief to get the win.
June 10-The Patriots suffered their first loss of the season in a game where very little went right. Mike DeSenzo had an RBI.
June 13-In the first of a twin bill, Mendham erased a late Patriot lead for a 6-4 win. Al Ianuzzi had 3 hits and Sean Jones had 2 rbi while Jim Kenny and Eriq Colon added one. In the 2nd game, the Patriots had 14 hits and scored 10 runs, but it wasn't enough as they couldn't hold a 4 run 7th inning lead. Sean Jones had 3 hits, while Jim Huber, and Nick McCarthy each had 2. Eriq Colon had 2 rbis. Ben Hampson had an excellent outing on the mound in relief.
June 18th-The Patriots jumped to an early lead on Al Ianuzzis homer, but several Patriot pitchers had trouble finding the plate and Parsippany collected 14 walks enroute to a 9-3 win. John Bujtas had 2 rbi for Pequannock.
June 22nd- Pitchers Blake Smith and Josh Kwak combined to strike out 9, leading the Patriots to a 6-3 win over Hopatcong. Jordan Aughey and Tom Ackershoek each had 2 rbi, and Sean Jones had one.
June 24th-Mike Sasso led the Patriots to a 7-3 win over Mendham, with five scoreless innings of one hit ball on the mound and also had 2 rbi with the bat. Eriq Colon blasted a 2 run homer and Jordan Aughey, Nick LaPorta, and Tom Ackershoek each had 2 hits.
June 26th-Three Patriot pitchers combined to hold Roxbury to just 4 hits, but Roxbury was just a little better as they snuck by Pequannock by a 2-1 score. Jim Kenny had 3 hits and the lone rbi.
JUNE 29TH-The Patriots lost a tough one,surrendering a 6th inning 3 run homer which snapped a 2-2 tie .Pitcher Tom Ackershoek was impressive allowing only one earned run and two hits over five innings of work. Jordan Aughey had a solo homer, and Mike Sasso knocked in two runs
June 30th-The Patriots had a 3-0 lead, but a bloop single led to 2 Eagle runs, and Morris topped Pequannock 4-3. Mike Sasso had 2 rbi, and Eriq Colon had 1.
July 1st-Three Patriot Pitchers John Bujtas, Mike Sasso, and Bo Gilligan combined to hold the Jefferson Batwings to just 2 hits in a 4-1 victory. Eriq Colon had 2 rbi and Jim Kenny knocked in one.
July 7th- The Patriot bats came alive as Jordan Aughey had 4 rbi, including a double and homer.John Bujtas knocked in three, and Dylan Maher had 2 rbi, while Tom Ackershoek had 3 base hits. Patriot pitchers Matt Jenisch, Ben Hampson, and Tom Ackershoek combined to hold Parsippany to 5 hits in an 11-2 romp.
July 8th-The Hopatcong Hornets scored five runs on homers and it was to much for the Patriots to overcome as Pequannock fell 9-5. Al Ianuzzi belted a solo shot, and John Bujtas knocked on three for the second night in a row.
July 9th-Pequannock scored 6 runs in the 3rd, and cruised to a 7-0 win over Morristown. Jim Huber had 2 rbi, while Nick LaPorta, Tj McGovern, and Mike DeSenzo each added one. Blake Smith was brilliant on the mound scattering 4 hits, and fanning 7.
July 11th-The Patriots swept a doubleheader from the Roxbury Royals 5-1 and 8-1. In the opener John Bujtas was brilliant on the mound allowing only 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 7. The offense was led by Jordan Aughey with 2 hits and 2 rbi,Al Ianuzzi with 2 hits and an rbi, and Jim Huber with a 2rbi triple. In the 2nd game the Patriots pounded out 15 hits including 3 from Jordan Aughey ,and 2 each from Al Ianuzzi, Eriq Colon, John Bujtas,and Nick LaPorta. Chris Santaniello had 2 rbi. Tom Ackershoek turned in an outstanding job on the mound allowing only 2 infield singles.
July 13th-The Patriots pounded out 13 hits enroute to an 11-4 win over Morristown. Nick McCarthy had 2 hits, and 2 rbi. John Bujtas had 3 hits and 3 rbi, and Tom Ackershoek added 2 hits and 4 rbi. Pitchers Matt Jenisch, and Derek Balbierz held the Naturals to 2 earned runs on 6 hits.
July 14th-The Patriots jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but failed to capitalize on several opportunities to add to the lead and eventually fell behind the Morris Eagles 2-6. A late rally fell just short and the Eagles won it 6-5. Jordan Aughey had 4 hits and an rbi, Eriq Colon had 2 hits and 3 rbi, and Mike Desenzo had 3 base hits to pace the offense.
July 16th-At Dodge Field in Madison, the Patriots stopped the Hanover Titans 10-2. Jordan Aughey, John Bujtas, Jim Huber, and Al Ianuzzi all had 3 hits. Jim had 3 rbi including a 2 run homer, and Al had 4 rbi including a bases clearing triple. Pitchers Derick Balbierz, John Bujtas, and Matt Amore combined to limit Hanover to 1 earned run on 5 hits with John getting the win.
July 20-The Patriots couldn't stop the Wizards offense and were mauled 12-2. Jordan Aughey and Chris Santaniello had the rbis and Dylan Maher had 2 hits.
July 21-The Patriots couldn't hold an 8-2 lead as Jefferson rallied for 6 in the last 2 innings before the game was called a tie for darkness. Eriq Colon had 2 doubles and 2 rbi, Brett Zaziski had 3 hits and an rbi, and Dylan Maher and Nick LaPorta each had 2 rbi.
July 22-The Patriots ponded out 15 hits in a 12-3 romp over Morristown. Brett Zaziski had 4 hits, including 3 doubles and 2 rbi. Eriq Colon had 3 rbi, and Jim Huber, John Bujtas, and Nick Laporta had 2 rbi apiece. Ben Hampson was outstanding on the mound going 6 innings, and scattering 8 hits, with 5 strike outs, and no walks. Tj McGovern and Matt Jenisch closed out the 7th inning.
July 23- The Patriots concluded the regular season on a sour note allowing Hanover 4 unearned runs early, and producing little offense until the final inning. Jim Huber had an rbi double, and Eriq Colon and Tom Ackershoek each had 2 hits.
July 27-Pequannock scored 5 in the opening inning and then hung on for a 5-4 playoff win vs Hanover. Pitcher Ben Hampson did an outstanding job in relief tossing 3 scoreless innings to get the save.
July 28-In the opening game of the 2nd round of playoffs, the Morris Eagles made several spectacular plays in the field snuffing out Patriot rallies as they edged Pequannock 3-1. Mike Sasso allowed 1 earned run, and Jim Kenny had 2 hits and an rbi.
July 29th-The Patriots season came to an end in a 10-5 playoff loss to the Morris Eagles. Pequannock fell behind early but scored in almost every inning, but could not get the big hit to close the gap. Jordan Aughey had 3 hits, with Eriq Colon, Dylan Maher, and Mike DeSenzo adding 2. The teams final record was 14-13-3.
