What to Know Before You Register

 

 

If your cheerleader resides outside of our Chapter boundaries, you’ll need a signed waiver from the releasing Chapter before you register. 

 

 

 

PARENTS are REQUIRED to participate.

Orangecrest JAAF & Cheer is organized and operated solely through our volunteers. All parents are required to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per player. Volunteer hours can be completed in various opportunities such as working in the snack bar, being a team parent, coaching, assuming a board position, and much more.

 

 

PARENTS are REQUIRED to stay. 

Parents with cheerleaders ages 5years old to second grade must remain at the practice field at all times. Parents with cheerleaders third grade and up must stay within 10 minutes of the practice field to take your cheerleader to the restroom outside of the designated time.

 

 

Practice Schedule

 

    • Practice is 5 (two hour) days a week, Mon.-Fri. from July 22 to Sept 1 of the 2024.

 

    • Beginning the week of Sept 2, 2024 practices will drop down to 3 (two hour) days of practice per week.

 

    • Practice hours are 6:00pm - 8:00pm (prior notice will be given if modified)

 

 

Game Info

 

Games are every Saturday after Labor Day (Sept 7, 2024) through November with Super Bowl in December.

(Yes, we cheer Thanksgiving weekend.)

 

 

Participant check-in times depend on the team’s age division

ranging from 6:30am - 6:00pm with games times playing from 8:00am up to 8pm.

 

 

Orangecrest participates within the SCJAAF Conference umbrella, which includes up to 25+ cities throughout the Inland Empire.

This means games our both local at home and away, where the other participating Chapters are located.

 

 

Parent/Guardian must provide/arrange transportation for your child to all games and events.

 

🚫No cheerleader is allowed to participate without having this Medical Release Form on file dated no earlier than March 22, 2024.🚫

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PHYSICAL THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE DOCTOR'S STAMP ❗

❌ Physicals performed by a Chiropractor (DC) or Registered Nurse (RN) will NOT be accepted ❌

In addition to the above, any information considered illegible will make the Medical Release Form unacceptable and is required to be done again. 

UNIFORM FITTING

Friday - June 7, 2024

5pm @ Orange Terrace Park

 

All cheerleaders who purchased a new uniform or an ala carte item are required to be fitted with Varsity's representative.

Please be prepared to make your uniform payment at this time directly to the vendor.

Orders will not be included without full payment.

 

Cheerleaders are prohibited from cheering without proper attire in uniformity to their squad.

If a cheerleader does not have their uniform it may result in an unexcused absence, limiting their participation as a competitor in the So. Cal. JAAF Cheer Competition.

📢 Calling All Volunteers! 📢

In an effort to have our League operate at it's best, we need you! There are a variety of positions needed and multiple opportunities available. Orangcrest Youth Football and Cheer solely functions through and operates by the efforts of it's participants. We are comprised of unpaid volunteers, who are devoted to providing a top notch and positive experience for our youth. No participation is too small and every contribution is appreciated. 

 

✨ Also, please note positions in which you are in direct contact with participants requires a background check under Megan's LawYou may be contacted if a position requires an interview. 

Participants interested in becoming a cheer coach will fill out the Cheer Coach Application and turn it into a Cheer Coordinator.

 

High School Participants (14-17years of age) can earn community service hours by volunteering in our program, and should meet with a Cheer Coordinator for more information. 

If you are interested in becoming a cheer trainer you will fill out the Cheer Trainer Application with your Parent's approval and turn it into a Cheer Coordinator.

All About Practice

  • Cheerleaders will begin their season on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6pm-8pm
  • Practice will be at Orange Terrace Park near the corner of Deercreek Dr. & Grove Community Dr.

Please drive slowly being alert of children crossing and do not doublepark.

  • Cheerleaders should have consumed a small snack before 5pm and use the restroom before arriving 10 minutes early (5:50pm)
  • Participants will only be released to a visual recognition of the pick-up person
  • Practice Attire must be followed
  • Practice is Monday-Friday changing to 3-day practices the week of September 2, 2024

Conditioning

Cheerleaders must complete 10 hours of conditioning prior to attending the Stunt & Safety Clinic.

If your child missed a day of conditioning they'll be required to make up the time.

Cheerleaders with incomplete conditioning hours will be allowed to attend the Stunt & Safety Clinic and can visually and auditorily learn but WILL NOT participate in stunting at the event.

 

* ALL hours must be furnished via a Conditioning Log

Stunt & Safety Clinic

Cheerleaders who participate within the Jr. Micro through Midget divisions (ages: 7 years -14 years) will attend the

Stunt & Safety Clinic in August of the current season. 

Attendance and participation are required to perform stunts for both sideline and competition cheer. Failure to attend will prohibit a cheerleader from performing any such stunts, but does not include cheering, jumps, or tumbling.

 

*Cheerleaders are allowed to perform tumbling to their knowledge and with parent consent. As a volunteer driven program, coaches are not professionally knowlegable of any related tubmling, acrobatics, or gymnastics and therefore will not be supervising or instructing participants to tumble out of their appropriate allowance.
