How long does the season run? The 2024 season begins on the fourth Monday of July (07/22/24) and depending on team progression could run up to Sunday, December 8, 2024.

What does it take to be an Orangecrest Football Player? Football players for Orangecrest require a strong commitment to the program. Each team needs every member present on a regular basis to perform effectively. The success of the program is driven by the level of support delivered by our coaches, players, parents, volunteers and the community. Practices start off 5 days a week from 6-8 pm. They go down to three days a week after Labor Day. |
What happens if my football player misses pracitce? If a players has an unexcused absence during the week it will be a loss of three (3) plays. Two unexcused absences in a week will be a loss of six (6) plays. Three unexcused absences in a week will be a loss of all ten (10) plays.
What happens if my cheelader misses pracitce? During practice, cheerleaders are learning new routines and developing safety measures through building muscle memory. When a cheerleader is not present it makes it difficult for the squad to get the best potential out of their practice time. It is the parents responsibility to contact the coach or team parent if a cheerleader will be missing practice. Absences may result in cheerleader's participation being altered at the next schedule game or event.

Game Information: Games will be held on Saturdays starting September 7th, 2024. They will be held every Saturday after. Game Schedules: Schedules are subject to change up to the day of the game.

What is a student athlete at Orangecrest? Orangecrest supports all participants in becoming knowledgable about the sport, and also developing scholarly in education, placing an emphasis on the term "student" athlete. All football players and cheerleaders must keep up with their school work. Poor grades in school may result in disciplinary actions by the coaches. If you don't pracitce, you may not play! Student athletes will be given a progress report to be completed and be expected to return their slips to the Head Football Coach or Cheer Coordinator. |
What is the Cody Smith Award? The Cody Smith Award will be given to a football player, one per team. The sportsmanship award goes to a player who is a leader, puts his team first, encourages others, always does his/her best, does not know the meaning of quit, and is a role model for others to follow. This athlete must be a scholar athlete that is voted on by his/hers peers. The final decision will be made by the coach.

What is the Celeste Alvarez Award? The Celeste Alvarez Award will be given to one cheerleader. This sportsmanship award goes to the cheerleader who is at least eight (8) years old, has cheered on a competition squad for at least two (2) years, and is a positive leader. This athlete must be a scholar athlete and is voted on by her/his peers. The final decision will be made by the Cheer Coordinator.

What to bring to registration? Completed Registration Packet All documents must be signed in blue or black "wet/live" ink. Bring two utility bills matching participant's residential address written on the contract for address verification.
