Izaiah Browne, 4th Ward A’s

Browne recorded a 5-0 record for the 4th Ward A’s.  Browne appeared in six games, including two complete-game starts for the A’s.  Browne struck out 19 in 20 innings of work and finished with a 1.35 earned-run average.

Carson McKinley, 4th Ward A’s

McKinley made his debut season in the CVBL memorable, leading the 4th Ward A’s to a share of the regular-season championship.  McKinley finished 2-1 with 29 strikeouts in 18 1/3 innings pitched and a 1.53 earned-run average.


2019
Tom Neale, 4th Ward Cardinals

Neale, 50 years old, finished the season with a 6-0 record as the Cardinals captured the regular-season championship with a 17-3 record.  Neale struck out 30 batters in 37 1/3 innings pitched and finished with a 2.17 earned-run average.


2018
Billy Davis, Meron’s Expos

Davis completed the regular season with an 8-0 record for the Expos.  Davis struck out 60 batters in 53 1/3 innings pitched and finished with a 1.05 earned-run average.


2017
Conor Casey, 4th Ward Cardinals

Casey compiled a 5-0 mark as the Cardinals completed their second consecutive 16-0 regular season.  Casey struck out 53 hitters in 34 innings of work and finished with a 1.32 earned-run average.

Eric Rock, 4th Ward Cardinals

Rock finished the season with a 7-0 record as the Cardinals captured the regular-season championship with a 16-0 mark.  Rock struck out 71 batters in 48 innings of work and had a 1.60 earned-run average.

Conor Casey, 4th Ward Cardinals

Casey finished the season with a 3-1 record.  Casey finished with 50 strikeouts in 29 innings of work and had a 0.24 earned-run average.

Tom Neale, 4th Ward Cardinals

Neale finished with a 7-1 record.  Neale struck out 59 batters in 58 2/3 innings of work and compiled a 0.84 earned run average.


2013
Dave Waldron, Lyon Mountain Miners

Waldron compiled a 7-0 record. In 42 innings he allowed 26 hits, struck out 46 and had a 1.00 earned run average.  He also pitched three shutouts.

Steve Burris, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Burris finished the regular season with a 4-2 mark for the Cardinals.

Steve Burris, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Burris compiled an 8-1 record and added a save in the regular season for the Cardinals.  Burris hurled 57 innings, struck out 70 batters and finished with an earned-run average of 2.70.

Davis showed his iron-man capabilities compiling an 11-1 record and added a save in the regular season for Meron's.  Davis hurled 81 innings, struck out 70 hitters and compiled a 2.77 earned-run average.

Mike Bergman, Meron's/Renzi's Expos

Bergman finished the regular season with a 7-2 record, including two shutouts.  In 66 innings, Bergman struck out 75 hitters and compiled a 2.44 earned-run average.  Bergman also had a save in the regular season.

Gary Duquette, Plattsburgh Cardinals

In 41 innings of work, Duquette compiled a 1.37 earned-run average and struck out 44 batters.


2007
Gary Duquette, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Duquette finished with a 4-1 record and a 2.07 earned-run average. Duquette allowed only six walks in 40 2/3 innings.

Tom Neale, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Neale finished with an 8-1 record as the Cardinals captured the regular-season crown with a 16-3 mark.

Nick Chase, Lyon Mountain Miners

Chase earned his fourth consecutive Pitcher of the Year award, as he compiled a league-best 8-0 record and struck out a league-best 66 batters as the Miners won their second consecutive regular-season title.

Nick Chase, Lyon Mountain Miners

Chase repeated as the league's top pitcher after recording a league-best 7-0 record with two shutouts as the Miners claimed their first division title in 10 years.

Nick Chase, Lyon Mountain Miners

After earning a share of the award in 1999, Chase captured the award outright with an 8-2 record and three shutouts for the Miners.

Davidson, who was also named co-Most Valuable Player, compiled a 7-0 record and led the Mudhens to a share of the regular-season title. Chase finished with a 6-2 record for the Miners.

& Scott LeClerc, Adirondack Spirits

LaBarge earned Northern Division honors after leading the Hornets to a perfect 18-0 regular-season record, while LeClerc was named the Northern Division MVP after leading the Adirondack Spirits to a share of the regular-season title. LaBarge finished 7-0 with a save, while LeClerc was 6-1.


1996
Brandy McDonald, Midas Mudhens
& Dennis LaBarge, Altona Hornets, & Neil Stevens, Plattsburgh Cardinals, & Brett Paepke, Clinton Lakers

McDonald and LaBarge shared the Northern Division Award, while Stevens and Paepke split the Southern Division Award. LaBarge finished 7-2 with a save in the leading the Hornets to the Division crown. McDonald had five wins and led the league in strikeouts. Stevens went 7-0 in leading the Cardinals to their fifth consecutive division crown, while Paepke finished 5-2.


1995
Gary Duquette, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Duquette led the league with 10 wins and 92 strikeouts as the Cardinals claimed their fourth consecutive regular-season title. Duquette compiled a 2.31 earned-run average and recorded one save.


1994
Matt Sames, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Sames dominated the league finishing with a 9-0 record with one save and a 0.93 earned-run average in leading the Cardinals to their third consecutive regular-season title. In 58 innings pitched, Sames allowed only 21 hits, nine runs (six earned), seven walks and struck out 79.


1993
Scott Moody, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Moody compiled a 4-1 record, including one shutout, and a 1.24 earned-run average as the Cardinals captured their second consecutive CVBL regular-season championship.

Tim Pratt, Plattsburgh Cardinals

Pratt compiled a league best 6-0 record, including two shutouts, and a 1.66 earned-run average as the Cardinals captured the regular-season championship.

Jim Ryan, Midas Mudhens

Ryan led the Midas Mudhens to the American Division title with a perfect 7-0 record.


1990
Mark Kiroy, Redford River Rats

Kiroy compiled a 5-1 record to lead the River Rats to the National Division title.

Jeff Doorey
& Tracy Rotz, Peru-Al's Patchwork

Peru-Al's Patchwork captured the National Division crown with a perfect 13-0 record behind the left arm of Doorey and the right arm of Rotz. Doorey finished with a 5-0 record and a 1.36 earned run average, while Rotz went 7-0 with a 2.42 earned-run average. Doorey struck out 64 in 40 innings and Rotz finished with 42 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched. Rotz also led the league with two saves.


1988
John Flynn, Plattsburgh Cardinals

FLynn recorded a perfect 10-0 record, including three shutouts, for the National Division champion Plattsburgh Cardinals. Flynn struck out 100 hitters in 74 innings of work, and finished with a 1.70 earned-run average.


1987
Tim Pratt, Saranac Lake Merchants

Pratt rebounded from a 1-3 start to finish with a 5-4 record for a team that finished 6-12. Pratt finished with 70 strikeouts in 64 innings of work. His best outing of the season was a 13-inning, 15-strikeout performance against the Peru Well Drillers.


1986
Scott Baker, Redford River Rats

Baker registered an 8-1 record with a 1.79 earned-run average. His eight wins tied for the league lead with Tom Gates of Peru. Baker also had two shutouts and recorded one save.


1985
John Flynn, AuSable Forks Spirits

Flynn recorded a 5-1 record on his way to earning the award for the third time in five years.

John Zerrahn, Peru/Ormsby’s Well Drillers

Zerrahn recorded a 9-1 record with one save to lead the Peru/Ormsby’s Well Drillers to a league-best 13-1 regular season.  Zerrahn hurled 83 innings and struck out 65 batters.


1983
John Flynn, AuSable Forks Spirits

Flynn registered a 6-1 record with a save on his way to earning his second MVP honor. His six wins tied for the lead league with teammate Dan Hoey.

Marty Collins, Peru/Ormsby's Well Drillers

Collins recorded an 11-0 record with a 1.73 earned-run average in 80 innings pitched as Peru recorded the league's first-ever perfect season.
