• The Oakdale Youth League is a youth organization that has existed for many decades dedicated to development and enrichment of community softball (slow pitch and fast pitch) and baseball in Oakdale, PA and surrounding communities for a membership over 250 players


• Oakdale is a community in the West Allegheny School District which is made up of three townships: Oakdale, Findlay, and North Fayette


• Oakdale softball is a member of the Chartiers Valley Communities League (CVC) in both slow pitch from 8U thru 18U and fast pitch from 10U thru 15U and competes against a variety of local townships including Findlay, North Fayette, McDonald, Midway, Collier, Cecil, Scott, Kennedy, etc.


• Oakdale baseball is a member of the West Allegheny Baseball League (WABL) for T-Ball thru Little League (12U) and competes against local townships from Findlay, North Fayette, and McDonald


• Oakdale baseball players at Pony and Colt levels play under the school district name, West Allegheny, merged with players from Findlay and North Fayette, and are members of the Chartiers Valley Baseball League (CVBA) competing against teams from Chartiers Valley, Sto-Rox, Moon, Robinson, Quaker Valley, Green Tree, CIT, and South Fayette


• Oakdale Youth League is the primary supporter for the formation of West Allegheny slow pitch teams in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Softball League (WPISL) for Jr High, Jr Varsity, and Varsity levels dedicated to slow pitch softball organized by school district in the fall and played at a level of tournament ball


• The Oakdale Youth League has 3 main ballfields:

1. Oakdale Boro Park - on McKee Road which has lights and is used for mostly older age groups  
2. Huck Field - between North and South Highland Avenues mostly used for younger age groups
3. Ryan Field - on Cottonwood Drive mostly used as a practice field and secondary field for younger age groups
