ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING MINUTES: July 30, 2015
WELCOME & OPENING REMARKS: -
Rich Knight thanked the teams for coming to the tournament.
There were some difficult scheduling challenges during the
final days in finalizing schedule as efforts were made to give all teams one game on the Bell streaming process for computer viewing back home.
2. VOTING PROCESS:
No voting is to be done at the meeting. If rule changes are brought forward a ballot will be sent out in September for any item needing voting. (No motions brought forward)
3. ANNUAL REPORTS: MINUTES OF 2014 MEETING: posted on the website.
Notify Phil Beaudoin of any issues concerning the minutes.
FINANCIAL REPORT 2014-2015: presented by Treasurer, Phil Beaudoin.

No questions or concerns from those in attendance
However, from Phil's position he felt that in future the CNOBF will be closely monitoring our finances annually and trying to cover our expenses so that we do not need to raise the entry fee as Phil pointed out how the Tournament fee of $550 was broken down for clarity: $400 to the host city for tournament expenses; $150 to the CNOBF: $50 for prizes, $50 for yearly expenses and $50 for baseballs (a quality baseball for the tournament is the ROML now going for $75 per dozen).

4. TOURNAMENTS: - 2016 tournament to be held in Medicine Hat, AB July 29 to August 1.
- Bids for 2017 in the Central Region are due by November 30, 2015.
5. OLD BUSINESS: Rich Knight discussed four rule changes that were voted on last September in order to clarify any concerns.
The rules covered acceptable
#1 Batting helmets
One flap was approved, flap must be in direction towards pitcher, however Rich did state the CNOBF does recommend two earflaps for total Safety.
#2 Player Ejection Process.
Rich Knight read the new rule and explained how disciplined will be handled. No questions asked.
#3 The pitching rule
Concerning the pitching of 3 innings says that only one pitcher per game is allowed to pitch any 3 consecutive innings anytime during the 7 inning game.
#4 - The Catcher may be removed once reaching base no matter how many outs (in such case will be last out) however the Catcher MUST be removed with 2 outs, again must be last out.
6. NEW BUSINESS: -
#1 Rich Knight wants all teams to have proof of team insurance, effective Medicine Hat 2016. Any questions should be directed to Rich.
#2. Registration for all teams and players new format:
Each player must sign a roster sheet which requires reading the waiver document attached to roster sheet prior to playing.
7. HALL OF FAME: -
Rich Knight announced that Sam Lamb (Tillsonburg) and George Purdy (Pleasant Valley) are the two inductees for this year. Rich asked the members to look for members who have contributed over several years to the success of the National tournament program.
Forward any nominees' names to Rich Knight by February 29, 2016.
8. CONSTITUTION / RULE CHANGES: -
No request for changes!
9. COACHES’ MEETING: -
Rich Knight introduced Darryl LeBlanc to update the teams about the schedule, game processes, the Saturday lobster dinner and music. He also introduced the head umpire
who had a few words for the teams.
10. CLOSING REMARKS: -
Rich Knight wished the teams a safe and enjoyable tournament.
