SUMMER 2020 COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY RULES

Rule C1:  No team can begin to enter the dugout or the field until the previous players and coaches have cleared out.  Games will be staggered the best they can to assist with this.

Rule C2:  All players are to practice proper social distancing protocol at all times including on the field and in the dugouts.  Players are to utilize the bullpen and behind the team's designated dugout.

Rule C3:  Social distancing should be practiced at all times in the dugout.  If there is not enough space in the dugout, players should utilize the bullpen and areas next to the team's dugout.

Rule C4:  Participants (including umpires) inside the field of play are not required to wear a mask or face covering but may do so as desired.  Outside the field of play, masks or face coverings must be worn by individuals not directly engaged in the game where social distancing can't be achieved.

Rule C5:  NO team meetings at the mound.  Only one coach may visit, and a mask or face covering is required.

Rule C6:  All players are prohibited from sharing personal equipment (bats, gloves, helmets, etc.).

Rule C7:  All players are prohibited from shaking hands or giving high fives.  This includes post-game handshakes.

Rule C8:  No post-game congregating or meeting with players on the field or in the dugouts.  Teams must leave the field immediately following completion of the game.

Rule C9:  Home plate meetings will be limited to the umpire and one coach from each team. All must practice social distancing.

Rule C10:  The Home Plate Umpire will be positioned behind the Pitcher until restrictions have eased.

Rule C11:  Baseballs will be supplied by the defensive team.  Teams will provide the umpire with 2-3 baseballs each time they take the field for defense, and collect them when the 1/2 inning ends.

Rule C12:  Coaches are recommended to have hand sanitizer in the dugout for their teams.

Rule C13:  Spectators should bring their own seating and sit from either first or third base down the line towards the outfield fence.  They also may sit behind home plate as long as there is room to separate from the players.  Spectators should be at least 20 feet from the backstop.

Rule C14:  Spectators and players should wear face coverings when entering and exiting the park and using restrooms.  Face coverings should be worn when social distancing is not possible.
