DANTE PAOLUCCI, NEW YORK NINE
Dante Paolucci (Monroe College) takes home the season’s first Player of the Week Award. Paolucci batted .687 during the first 8 games for the New York Nine (8-0). Paolucci recorded 2 doubles, a homerun, 4 walks, and 5 stolen bases. The Monroe College infielder/outfielder also had 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
NEFTALI PARACHE, LONG ISLAND NOR’EASTERS
Neftali Parache (Weatherford CC) picked up two wins for the 3-2-1 Nor'easters. Parache hurled 12 innings striking out 19 batters in defeating the Astros and Titans-Blue. His ERA is currently a minuscule 0.75.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
TREVOR DUTRA, LONG ISLAND TITANS-BLUE
Trevor Dutra (St. John's University) receives the Rookie of the Week Award. Dutra is batting .429 through the first 6 games of the season. The incoming freshman had 2 doubles, a triple, and 4 walks to help the Titans-Blue to a 4-2 record. He also had 5 runs scored and 3 RBIs.
