MIKE FRAZZETA, LONG ISLAND STORM
Mike Frazzeta (SUNY Maritime) takes home the season’s first Player of the Week Award. Frazzeta hit 3 homeruns and batted .714 during the first 6 games for the Storm (3-3). The SUNY Maritime catcher also recorded 4 walks, 5 runs and 7 RBI.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
NEFTALI PARACHE, LONG ISLAND NOR’EASTERS
Neftali Parache (Weatherford CC) picked up two wins for the Nor'easters (4-2) during the week. Parache hurled 14 innings striking out 29 batters in defeating Beast-Red and Beast-Black.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
CODY MILLER, LONG ISLAND TITANS-GOLD
Cody Miller (East Tennesse State University) receives the Rookie of the Week Award. Miller went 11 for 16 in the first 6 games of the season. The incoming freshman had 2 doubles, 4 stolen bases, and 6 RBI's to help the Titans-Gold to a 3-3 record.
