NEW MUNICH--Will VanBeck threw 8 1/3 innings and struck out 5 as the Saints continued their hot streak with a 7-3 win over New Munich. The Saints jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and never looked back as they took over sole possesion of 3rd place in the SCL North with the victory. Jackson Peter, Peyton Winter, and Gavin Kampsen each knocked out 2 hits for the Saints who collected 10 as a team. Derek Wiener drilled another home run and Ashton Dingmann drove in 2 runs in the orange and navy's only contest of the weekend. Wyatt Stephensen pitched the final two outs of the game to earn the save and secure the season sweep of the Silverstreaks. Saturday night's Roscoe contest was postponed and will be made up on another date. Wednesday night, the Saints will entertain Paynesville at 7:30. Friday night, an old school double header will take place as the Saints host Roscoe at 6pm before playing Meire Grove at 8:30 under the lights!
