(Nuke drops in another 3 RBIs!)

ELROSA--Play your best ball at the right time. Elrosa continues to pick up wins with their 11th straight win Friday night in Elrosa. Derek Wiener drove in 3 RBIs and Gavin Kampsen drilled 3 hits as the Saints completed a late inning comeback to earn an 8-7 SCL North playoff victory over New Munich Friday night in Elrosa. Will VanBeck started on the mound and gave the Saints 6 solid innings. The Saints held a 5-2 lead until the 8th inning when New Munich scored 5 runs to take the lead at 7-5, Elrosa however, wouldn't flinch. They quickly loaded the bases up in their half of the inning and Wiener provided a bases clearing single to tie the game. As the ball entered the infield, it quickly scooted away from the New Munich defense and Jackson Peter came all the way around from first base on a great hustle play to score the go ahead run. Peyton VanBeck then came in to close the game and shut the door in the top of the 9th with 3 strikeouts to earn the save and secure the win for Elrosa. With the victory, the Saints will play Sunday at noon in a seeding game vs. Spring Hill. The win vs. New Munich also clinches Elrosa a spot in the Region 15C tourney in Watkins!
