This last week the OSAA decided that there is no definitive start date for football, citing the governor’s restriction as a prohibited sport as of now. As soon as that restriction is lifted, we will be able to set a start date and schedule. If the restriction is not lifted by 9/23, the OSAA is going to exhaust every option to adjust or provide a crossover season for football. That means football could be moved to the winter, or the spring, if it is not able to have a season in the fall. The good news is that the OSAA has made a commitment that there will be a football season this year. The OSAA will reconvene meeting on August 3rd and should have an update that week on moving forward.
