Powerhouse 2016 16U - USSSA 16u National Champions!!!

Our Green Bay Powerhouse 16U team wrapped-up the season by travelling down to Bentonville, Arkansas July 27th-31st to capture the USSSA 16U National Championship!!  The team went undefeated by going 8-0 on the week!  Congratulations to all players as they played their hearts out all season to finally realize their dream of a National Championship.  Special congrats to Sydney LaPoint for earning the All-Tournament MVP and the All-Tournament Most Outstanding Pitcher!  Home runs in tournament by Jayden Laurent, Chloe Evans, and Raven VandenLangenberg!

Pool play: Defeated Oklahoma Gametime (13-0), Emporia Energy - Kansas (12-0), Extreme D - Missouri (11-0) *Earning a #1 seed going into bracket play

The 2015-2016 season was the best season to date for this team as this young 16u group won 7 consecutive tournament championships (incl. a National Championship, 2 State Championships - 16u & 18u titles, and four 18u national qualifiers).


 

 

Powerhouse 2011 16U - ASA-Class A Northern National Champions!!!

The Green Bay Powerhouse 16U girls fastpitch team traveled to Mt. Pleasant, MI August 2-8 to compete in the ASA “A” Northern National Championships and came away with the top title after having to beat the Munster (IN) Magic twice in the finals, 6-0 and 3-2 late Sunday afternoon. The Powerhouse team went 10-1 throughout the week including two pool games, with their only loss coming in a rain-delayed 8am game on Sunday morning to the Crown Point, IN Bulldogs. That loss placed the team into the loser’s bracket where they had to win three games in a row (including a 1-0 win over that same Crown Point team) to get to the finals. The team outscored their opponents 42-18 across the eleven games.

Green Bay Powerhouse players included: Raissa Reynolds (Manitowoc Lincoln HS); Courtney Dart (Algoma HS); Danielle DJ Garceau (Bay Port HS); Lindsey Luedke (Bay Port HS); Ashley Baker (Bay Port HS); Nicole Sharon (Gladstone, MI HS); Allison Weisnicht (Shawano HS); Lauren Janssen (Bay Port HS); Heather Sanderson (Rapid River, MI HS); McKenna Larsen (Oconto Falls HS); Christine Sharon (Gladstone, MI HS); Lydia Turnquist (Bay Port HS). Other integral team members not able to play at nationals include: Mel Leopold (Stevens Point Area HS); Taylor Gutzman (Bay Port HS); Hannah Long (Bay Port HS) and Hannah Hilbert (Bay Port HS).

Three weeks earlier, the Green Bay Powerhouse 16U team also won the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan NSA State Championship in Middleton by going undefeated (5-0) for the weekend with wins over the Wisconsin Lightning (6-5 in 9 innings); Pride of the Midwest (10-0); Fox River Rush (8-0); Wisconsin Elite (6-5); and the Fox River Rush (2-0) in the championship game.

It was a successful summer for the Green Bay Powerhouse 16U team as they won 4 of 6 tournaments entered, also including the Appleton Rockers Kickoff tournament in June and the Wisconsin State Games in Baraboo in July.
