Kennedy Township Dek Hockey League

Age is based on players age as of 01/01/2024! 

All Instructional 1 and 2 players and Minor/Major players who are new to the league or haven't played in 2 seasons must evaluate.

Game schedules will not be adjusted due to vacations or other activities in which players are involved.

Instructional 1 League - Ages 4 to 7 (Birthday 1/1/16 - 12/31/19)

This league is ideal for the child who has never played hockey before or not quite ready for competition play.  This group focuses on the basics of hockey – Holding a stick, stick handling, passing, shooting, positioning. 

Duration - 6 Sessions

Practice Days - Saturdays around noon (specific time will be determined after registration)

Instructional 2 League - Ages 5 to 7 (Birthday 1/1/16 - 12/31/18)

Competitive league for those who have experience and are looking for more challenging play.  This group plays 5-on-5 competitive games and play is stopped every 2 minutes for line changes to ensure equal play time. Must evaluate to be drafted.

Duration - 8 games and single elimination playoffs

Game Days - Saturday afternoon

Practice Days - TBD.  Will be determined by coach.

Minor League - Ages 8 to 10 (Birthday 1/1/13 - 12/31/15)

This league is open to all kids and plays 5-on-5 competitive games. New players to the league must evaluate to be drafted.

Duration - 8 games and single elimination playoffs

Game Days - Tuesday evenings

Practice Days - TBD.  Will be determined by coach.

Major League - Ages 11 to 13 (Birthday 1/1/10 - 12/31/12)

This league is open to all kids and plays 4-on-4.  New players to the league must evaluate to be drafted.

Duration - 8 games and single elimination playoffs

Game Days - Friday evenings

Practice Days - TBD.  Will be determined by coach.

Champions League - Ages 14 to 19 (Birthday 1/1/05 - 12/31/09)

**If you are 19, you must still be in high school.**

This league is open to all kids and plays 3-on-3.  

Duration - 8 games and single elimination playoffs

Game Days - Saturday mornings
