To all the girls of the Gametime Stars 97...your families, friends and coaches are so proud of what you have accomplished this year! To come together for the third year in a row and win your nationals is absolutely amazing. A 3-peat! And 66 teams all together! This whole nationals embodies the accomplishments of our goals that started last November 2010. You girls on the Gametime Stars 97 went after it with such a fierce force of achieving this success from the beginning. We all believed and again you are National Champions! Congratulations and we will see you all next year when we do it again! Congratulations to our National Championship Award Winners! Tournament MVP - Halle Melone Outstanding Pitcher - Bailey Shaffer |
March 5-6, 2011 14&U USSSA State Festival Moore, OK |
Our first winter tournament. With frost bitten fingers early Saturday morning, and a lose to the Oklahoma Twisters 96 in our first (and hopefully only) sub-freezing game, the Stars dug their way out of a losers bracket. Three games of straight wins until we met up with the OK Athletics 96 losing by one point. Well Stars, you got some good games in and we got to see you battle back. Next time lets battle back all the way! We can do it! Many more great times to come! Let's get back to working hard in our practices and keep moving on our journey as we prepare for our final goal in late July! ..... BRACKET |

They came! They saw! They conquered! - - - The person (me) writing this didn't get the whole scoop on Sunday's tournament play, because I had to be at another tournament. But, I understand it was exactly what one would expect from the Gametime Stars 97! They battled each and every game to the championship game, and won it! And there were 20 teams in this tournament too! Very nice GAMETIME ladies! We all know where we are heading in July from all this! Keep working hard ladies! We're 10-3 now. Kristen, please get yourself better and see you all next week! ..... Tournament MVP: Bailey Shaffer..... Pool Games/Bracket |

OK! Before I start the tournament commentary, lets talk about a few good websites that we need to be aware of. Grab your ice packs as you read through them: http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/ http://kidshealth.org/ Now that we have that out of the way, got to say that you LADIES DID AWESOME! 15 teams and we took 1st place...again! Another one of Missy's Magnificient Magical weekends of fastpitch was a success! But it's not over yet! Next week we play in Duncan! Keep those ice packs cold. We need to do it over! ..... April 15-17, 2011 14&U 7GG Spring Tune-Up Duncan, OK - Hines Park |
Wind, blowing dirt, and thousands and thousands of little dinky sticker burrs were part of the battle this weekend. Through out the weekend the Stars were able to win over all these elements and the 7 teams in their pool. Sunday brought us to the finals where we couldn't quite get our bats going in the championship game against our friends the Twisters. 2nd place. We'll be remembering this tournament for some time as we continue to find those burrs in everything. See you all after Easter! Pool Games/Bracket |
April 29 - May 1, 2011 14&U Homeruns for Healing Tournament Mustang, OK - Whitehorse Park |
Two wins in the pool Friday, one win in the bracket Saturday, heavy rains on Sunday, and the Stars were declare a shared 1st place winner with the Straycats. Kind of a hallow ending, but we're still winners! See you all next week in Tuttle! Pool Games Bracket Games |

Another Gametime Stars 97 weekend! We saw some great ball and great teams playing their hearts out this weekend. This is that time of the season when teams start peaking and really improving! Teams like the Cardinals - - Their coming back to 3rd place was a tremendous feat of strength! (Great job Cards!) To all the teams we played this weekend, we really appreciate the competition you brought, and wish you all the best as we prepare for each of our Nationals! Fastpitch in Oklahoma has some of the best teams in the nation! Bailey, Abbey, & Macy...Take care of yourselves and get better. WE MISS YOU!!! Bracket Games |
May 20-22, 2011 14&U Fallen Heroes Tournament Moore, OK |
Long, Hot, Weekend! Shall we say more? Temps got into the mid 95 range. With that heat comes dehydration and overheating. Next time we hydrate ourselves and bring coolers of Hydration Fluid! In the end we still prevailed into a successful 2nd place out of 16 teams in the bracket. Our sister team the Twisters took the championship. BTW, we look forward to spending a day with the Twisters in Universal Studios Theme Park this July! In closing, the parents want it to be said that Sha Ingram made one of the most outstanding catches in the outfield that we have ever seen! It was a foul ball catch. She dove for that ball, caught it in the air, and did an awesome Magnum PI/TJ Hooker flip roll. Only a camera shot could do proper justice to that catch, so we'll just leave it with, IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Very nice Sha! See you all next weekend as we play at the Plex! ..... Pool Games |
May 28-29, 2011 14U Memorial Day 5GG Ring Tournament Plex - Edmond, OK |
Another blue ribbon weekend! The best thing about this weekend is we now know we have all three of our pitchers back! Bailey and Abbey are back in the bull pen and helping Mariah to get more rest and not be overworked. Next weekend we will be in Del City playing the Tiderman Memorial. Bring good walking shoes! By the way, we just played our 50th game and our record is now 45 Wins - 5 Loses. Have a great Memorial Day! ..... Pool/Bracket Games |
June 3-5, 2011 14U Tiderman Memorial Tournament Del City, OK |
It was a hot and dry weekend as we played the We can't end without talking about that one "play of the weekend". In the championship game with our opponent on first, a big hop came to Kristen. She knocked it down but didn't get a hold of it. Knowing the force at 2nd with Raegan waiting, Kristen quickly reached down and FLICK the ball from her fingertips (with a cloud of dirt) up to Raegan for the out. Most amazing play ever seen this season! Nice work Kristen! (Show off!) Pitch for the Cure Tournament next week! ..... Brackets |

"Scruples. Some have few. Some have more. As for us, we have a lot! All should try to have a lot. But every so often, we meet up with those who have few. And there endeth the lesson on Scruples." 55 teams in this tournament. We had some great competitive action occur. There just wasn't as many games as we thought we would see with 55 teams. Let's fix it ladies and move on. State tournament coming up followed by our final goal at Nationals. Let's keep our sites fixed on that! ..... Brackets..... MAP OF PARKS |
June 24-26, 2011 14&U B Oklahoma USSSA State Tournament Bixby, OK |
Every season as we prepare to attend our National Competition Event, we test ourselves upon our endeavors by answering the all important question: “Can we win our State Competition Event first?” This weekend we have answered that question. With some extremely intensive teams to compete against while being put into the loser’s bracket by one of the other greatest teams in our state to test us harder, the Gametime Stars have passed. The Gametime Stars are the USSSA State Champions for the 4th year in a row! This is a remarkable achievement! We would like to wish all the teams we competed against the best of luck and success as you attend your Nationals. The Gametime Stars 97 are going to Orlando! Were not resting yet, because there is still more work to do! Back to work ladies! ..... STATE POOL..... STATE BRACKET ..... Teams Attended |
October 21-23, 2011 14U Ronald McDonald Exposure Tournament Cypress, TX |
This was our first exposure tournament. Definitely fun and challenging. After playing the best that Houston had to throw at us, we lost to the Elite Gold by a score of 1-2. But in the end we prevailed by winning 7 games straight to take 4th place. We definitely recieved some exposure though! |
