FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK:
Welcome to another great outdoor season with the Jackson Roller Hockey League.
We would like to thank the parents, players, coaches, refs, rink assistants, & volunteers for helping make our past season a great and enjoyable experience.
We again are looking forward to having a great year with our old and new Roller Hockey friends and family!
Again this year the Jackson Roller Hockey League is being operated under the direction of Jackson Hockey Recreational Development Club, Inc.
A New Jersey Nonprofit Organization dedicated to help continue the growth of the amatuer hockey playing in the Township of Jackson , New Jersey.
Many of our old alumni and friends will continue to assist us with the program as we undertaking the program to new heights for our area hockey programs.
We look forward to parents and former players voluntering to assist the youth program when they are avaialble to serve.
WE ARE HOLDING THE REGISTRATION & PLAYING FEES TO SAME COST AS LAST SEASON.
THERE WILL BE NO INCREASES.
HOW TO REGISTER:
We now have three ways to register for the Youth Spring 2018 Season:
Fees:
- To play for the Jackson Roller Hockey League (Youth) : $85.00 per player. (includes insurance)
(Same prices as 2018 season)
- Jersey Bond- $100.00 (will be return at end of season when Jerseys are returned and Parents work two hours of volunteering to help with Jobs at the Rink.)
- Parents are responsible for providing all necessary equipment as per League Guidelines on website.
- Registration and Waiver form are attached and must be handed in at time of your registration payment.
A.In-Person Registration dates:
On MARCH 17TH (Saturday) from 9am-1pm we will be holding in-person registrations at the Jackson Roller Hockey Rink in the Justice Complex.
Registration will take place in the new concession shed in front of the rink. We will have all of the necessary forms.
On MARCH 31ST (Saturday) from 9am-1 pm we will be holding in-person registrations at the Jackson Roller Hockey Rink in the Justice Complex.

B. Mail-in Registration
You can find our forms and registration steps at www.jacksonrollerhockey.com and may mail in the registration forms and check to the address listed on the website.

JHRDC has instituting a SAFE SPORTS POLICY that mirrors similar sport club programs in the USA when programs involve children.
The following a simple over-view of what we expect our program to adhere strictly to when working, training and coaching your children in our recreational in-line roller hockey program for Spring 2018:
- Jackson Hockey Recreational Development Club, Inc. (JHRDC) is committed to maintaining cooperative work, training and sports environments in which there exists mutual respect for all athletes,
coaches, judges and other officials, and for all JHRDC directors, officers, coaches, employees and volunteers.
- JHRDC is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for its athletes and participants involved in sport, free of misconduct. Engaging in misconduct, which is contrary to JHRDC
policy of equal employment and sports opportunity without regard to age, sex, sexual orientation, citizenship, religion, race, disability or national or ethnic origin, will not be tolerated within JHRDC organization and functions.
- For purposes of this Safe Sport Policy (the “Policy”), misconduct is identified as the following six primary
types of misconduct:
• Sexual misconduct (including child sexual abuse)
• Emotional misconduct
• Physical misconduct
• Bullying
• Harassment
• Hazing
Other JHRDC policies, procedures and codes, including, but not limited to, the JHRDC Code of
Conduct and Code of Ethics, may deal with other forms of conduct that are prohibited and that are
subject to action by JHRDC for violation of such policies, procedures and codes.

The total fees for the youth program to play (registration + insurance fees) will total $85 per player which is same cost to play as last season 2017.
For any families that are having extreme financial hardship that may result in not being able to pay the fees for their child to play can request possible assistance with league fees for the season.
These cases would be reviewed and considered by the League Management on a case by case basis for possible assistance.
Last season our Adult league again was a great success and we will be offering a full Adult league program again.
WE WILL BE ISSUING SEPARATE INFORMATION FORTHCOMING CONCERNING THE ADULT SPRING 2017 LEAGUE SEASON SHORTLY.
Both the Youth and Adult leagues will end the season with a Three day Tournament with Awards and Trophies to Place winners.
We will continue our own version of “ Friday Night under the Lights” Adult Roller hockey games that all the family can come out to enjoy and participate in the fun evening. The Youth Programs will play games Saturday mornings with occasionally games on Sunday morning or Wednesday evenings with Lacey Township league.
The U-8, U-11, U-1 & U17 teams will again play both Home and Away games with Other Area Township teams in-addition to our own in-house teams depending on turnout of players as well. These teams plus the other team for around the area will be looking forward to a end of season Tournament and awards to all.
Depending on Players who register we may offer a “learn to skate” program. Please make sure you ask when registering your child to play for the Spring 2018 season.
We would like to take a moment to thank all of you for participating in the Spring 2017 Season. We had a great season even though Mother Nature tried to get the best of us. Thank you for your patience as we rescheduled and rescheduled and rescheduled some more. As the League Director it is fun and exciting to see our children develop their hockey skills. It is always challenging trying to keep our season on course and keep everyone updated as the game schedules changed. Thanks to technologies such as Twitter, we were able to take our organization to the next level. In the end, we all make some great memories and get some wonderful photos of these great kids.
The Spring 2018 Season is just around the corner and the members of the Jackson Roller Hockey Committee promise to make this season even better than the last.
I hope to see all of you back for another exciting roller hockey season.
