Sixers Baseball for the second consecutive season has reached the 20 win mark. The Sixers used an 8 run 3rd inning that erased a 5-1 Grizzlies lead and put the Sixers on top 9-5. The Sixers continued to pound the Grizzlies pitching staff adding 3 more runs in the final 2 frames for a 12-6 league victory over the 1st place Grizzlies Baseball Club. The Sixers were led at the plate by Jake Gearhart and Michael Kirk with 2 hits each. Gearhart added 4 runs batted in along with a triple. Also for the Sixers, Nathan Bachmann launched a towering homerun and drove in 3 runs. Matt Heile started on the mound and tossed 2 1/3 innings. Relievers Owen Hayes and Michael Kirk closed the game out for the Sixers now 20-14 on the season.

Sixers Finish 3-2 in Weekend Tournament
Sixers Baseball seeded 4th in the 16 team Mets Invitational won the opening round of bracket play with a thrilling come from behind 4-3 win over the Storm Baseball on Sunday in Blue Ash. The Sixers (19-13) were seeded 4th after winning 2 of 3 pool play games over the weekend. The Sixers defeated the Lebanon Warriors on Friday 10-2 and then defeated the Sycamore Squadron 8-2 before falling in the nightcap 12-8 to the Butler County Riverhawks. On elimination day, the Sixers faced the Storm Baseball for the first meeting between the two teams. The Storm jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Sixers tied the score up at 2 in the bottom of the third inning. The Storm went back on top 3-2 plating a run in the top of the 4th. The Sixers tied the score in the bottom of the 5th inning setting the stage for a walk off victory in the bottom of the 6th. Boston McKibben picked up the victory in relief for the Sixers scattering 2 hits and 1 run in 5 innings of work striking out 3. At the plate, Michael Kirk had 2 hits, including the game winner in the bottom of the 6th.
Sixers Open Tournament With 10-2 Win Over Lebanon
Sixers Baseball opened the 2017 Cleaner Concepts Mets Invitational with 10-2 victory over the Lebanon Warriors in Blue Ash. The first ever meeting between the teams saw the Warriors jump out early plating 2 runs in the top of the 1st. The Sixers took command of the game scoring 4 runs in to bottom of the 3rd for a 5-2 lead. Sixers starting pitcher Boston McKibben picked up the win tossing 3 innings of work allowing 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 3. Matt Heile finished the game on the hill for the Sixers not allowing the Warriors a hit. At the plate, the Sixers were led by Cooper Gearhart and Michael Kirk each with 2 hits each.
Sixers Baseball Jumps Out to Early Lead in Victory Over Pyo Patriots
Sixers Baseball moved its record to 16-11 with a 11-6 non league victory over the PYO Patriots-Sellers at Grace Baptist. The Sixers plated 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning to get the Sixers the early lead. Jackson Woods started on the mound for the Sixers allowing only 1 hit while striking out 4 in 2 innings of work to pick up the win . At the plate, Woods also led the Sixers with 2 hits including a double. Matt Heile also doubled for the Sixers.
Sixers Baseball Defeats Cincy Crush 15-0
Sixers Baseball won its third game in a row with a convincing 15-0 non league win over the Cincinnati Crush at Blue Ash.
Sixers Baseball Defeats Warren County Warriors 13-5
Sixers Baseball belted out 11 hits Monday night to knock off the Warren County Warriors 13-5 in non league play. Michael Kirk and Nathan Bachmann each led the Sixers with 3 hits each. Owen Hayes chipped in 2 hits and Bachmann also led the team with 3 runs batted in. On the mound, Matt Heile tossed 4 innings of 2 hit and 1 run baseball. The Sixers bullpen finished off the Warriors as Owen Hayes and Jake Gearhart each completed an inning work. The Sixers move their record to 10-8 on the season.
Sixers Pick Up League Win Over Bolts 7-6
Sixers Baseball picked up its second league win on the season with a 7-6 victory on the road vs the Liberty Bolts. The win puts the Sixers back into a first place tie with the Cincy Blast. The Sixers host the Blast this Friday in Blue Ash. The Sixers starting pitcher Michael Kirk got a no decision on the evening pitching 3 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. Matt Heile picked up the win for the Sixers tossing 1 1/3 innings and Boston McKibben notched the save recording the final 3 outs. At the plate, Kirk had a double and Braden Laker recorded 2 RBI's to lead the offense.
Sixers Go Down on Final Play Against Galaxy White
Sixers Baseball dropped a non league game Monday night to the Galaxy White 13-12. The Sixers were led at the plate by Michael Kirk with 2 hits including a double. Nathan Bachmann also doubled for the Sixers. The Sixers return to league play on Wednesday facing the Liberty Bolts.

Sixers Baseball won 11-2 vs. the PYO Patriots. The Sixers plated 3 runs in the 1st and 8 runs in the top of the 4th inning to take a commanding 11-2 lead. Michael Kirk, Owen Hayes and Nathan Bachmann are leading the Sixers with 2 hits each. Matt Heile tossed 3 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 3.
Sixers Win Back-And-Forth Affair Against Cincinnati Galaxy
Sixers Baseball (8-7) made history on Wednesday night defeating the Cincinnati Galaxy 8-6 securing the Sixers 1st ever win playing in the SWOL Silver division. The Sixers coming off last nights come from behind victory over the Cincinnati Bats continued it hot hitting belting out a season high 12 hits. Matt Heile led the Sixers with 3 hits, Owen Hayes and Cooper Gearhart chipped in with 2 hits each. On the mound, Michael Kirk improved to 3-0 on the season. Kirk scattered 4 hits over 4.2 innings striking out 5 while walking 1 batter. Boston McKibben picked up the save for the Sixers tossing a perfect 6th inning. The Sixers are back in league action on Friday traveling to play PYO.
Sixers Grab Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Cincinnati Bats
Sixers Baseball plated 9 runs in the final 2 frames for a come from behind victory on the road against the Cincinnati Bats. The Sixers trailed 9-2 entering the 5th inning when the visitors plated 5 runs setting up a dramatic final frame. In the top of the 6th, Sixers Baseball completed the comeback tacking on 4 more runs. Owen Hayes picked up the win on the mound for the Sixers allowing 1 run over the final 4.1 innings allowing for the comeback. Hayes scattered 4 hits on the night striking out 3 and not allowing a walk. At the plate, Michael Kirk, Copper Gearhart and Hayes collected 2 hits to lead the Sixers.

Sixers Baseball improved its season record to 3-0 with a victory on the road over Diamond Elite Black. The Sixers plated 3 runs in the 2nd and 2 more in the 3rd inning. On the mound, Michael Kirk picked up his first win on the year, tossing 3 innings of 1 hit baseball while striking out 3. Matt Heile picked up the save by scattering 1 hit over the final 2 1/3 innings while striking out three batters.

Sixers Baseball wrapped up the pre-season portion of the 2017 season with a doubleheader on Saturday vs. Lancers Baseball and the Warren County Copperheads. The following day the Sixer family gathered at the Farm for a Sunday Fun Day! The Sixers kickoff the 2017 season Saturday with a doubleheader in Blue Ash.
Sixers Drop Pre Season Opener 5-3 to Mayhem
Sixers Baseball opened the 2017 season Sunday with a 5-3 loss to the Mason Mayhem in Blue Ash. The Sixers and Mayhem were tied 3-3 in the 5th when Mason plated the go ahead runs. The Sixers had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the 6th before Mason closed out the game. The Sixers will be back in preseason action next Saturday when they host another Gold Division squad in the Lancers.
Sixers to Play at Roselawn Sports Complex (Reds Urban Youth Academy)
Sixers Baseball will travel to the Roselawn Sports Complex (click) for a league game with the Cincinnati Reds RBI June 6th. The Sixers will also play the Kentucky Rampage and the UCB Muckdogs as the crossover league games with the Silver South Division. The Sixers, who return 10 players from last seasons 23-14 squad will be playing their 1st season in the Silver Division.

Sunday Night Velocity Opportunity Class
Sixers Baseball opened the 2017 off season training Sunday Night with a Velocity class. The class meets each Sunday from 6:00-7:30pm in the Ag. Building in the Pasture behind the horse barn. Watch for crossing horses when entering and exiting! Great Job tonight!

Sixers Baseball Signing Day Party Announced
Sixers Baseball will be signing 2017 spring contracts on Saturday January 14th at Crossgate Lanes in Blue Ash from 3:30-5:30pm. The players will have the opportunity to bowl a few games and have pizza with their teammates.
The Sixers will also be fitted for new uniforms that will debut this spring. The Sixers are coming off a franchise record 23 victories in 2016 and welcome back 10 players from last season.
Opening Day Doubleheader Announced
Sixers Baseball will open the 2017 regular season on Saturday April 1st with a doubleheader at the Blue Ash Sports Center. The first game will begin at 12:30pm with a visit from Diamond Elite Black while the nightcap will see the Sixers hosting the Mason Aftershock at 3:30pm.
The Sixers will once again play their home games at the Blue Ash Sports Center located in Blue Ash Ohio. Over the past 2 season the Sixers are 13-2 while playing at the Blue Ash facility.

Boston McKibben Picks Up MVP Award
Loveland High School held its 40th Annual Tigers Baseball Camp last week. Boston McKibben represented the Sixers Baseball program by earning the MVP game ball award for the second consecutive season. McKibben had 3 hits in the game which featured players in grades 5 through 8.
