This exquisitely framed piece of art below showcases a red, white, and blue bunting styled banner that was rescued from the bellows of Rosenblatt Stadium in the summer of 2012 during the final sale of authentic goods from the ballpark just before it was demolished in August of that year.  This section of cloth displayed here has been individually cut from the final roll of bannering that had been stored away in Rosenblatt since this type of cloth banner was last used in the 1980's to adorn the TV camera boxes from ESPN, at that time a little known cable television station.

The original name of Rosenblatt Stadium was Omaha Municipal Stadium.  It was built in 1947, ready to host Major League Baseball's St. Louis Cardinals' Single-A Omaha Cardinals for the 1948 season. The Cardinals farm team was the first professional baseball team to call Omaha its home.  In 1964, the stadium was renamed in honor of former Omaha mayor Johnny Rosenblatt, who was instrumental in bringing professional baseball to Omaha as well as the College World Series.

Here are the seasons played, the team name, the league played in, the Minor League classification, and the MLB affiliate of the minor league teams that called Omaha Municipal Stadium and Rosenblatt Stadium home from 1948 to 2010.
