Storm Completes Another Succesful Season

Union Storm completes a successful season!!!

The Storm, Union Soccer Club's girls U-15 soccer representative finished the 2011-2012 season by winning two key New Jersey tournaments: the 32nd Annual JAGS Tournament on June 17, 2012 and the Poconos Premier Cup on July 15, 2012.

Leading up to the Storm's strong finish to the season, the team had participated in several spring events, such as, the N.J. Cup, the NJ State Cup, Jersey Area Girls Soccer ("JAGS") premier division league and other spring soccer showcase tournaments.

Overall, the Storm's success came from the early start to the season as the team carried out an intense winter training program, which included technical and tactical development, as well as, injury prevention, speed, agility, endurance and nutrition.

As the season progressed, the physical preparation became evident as the girls played at various events, while keeping injury free. Along the way, the Storm was able to return home with positive results and provided the Club with several awards. Below are some of the team's key season accomplishments:

* Mar/2012: NJ Wildcats Invitational College Showcase: Semifinalist
* Apr/2012: NJ Cup: Quarterfinalist
* Jun/2012: 32nd Annual JAGS Tournament: Champion
* Jul/2012: Poconos Premier Cup: Champion

The team is lead by coaching crew: Rich Vera and Steve Caggiano, while Mike Hurley is the team's Nutrition, Speed, Agility and Endurance Coach.  With the season ending, Storm players and staff will return to their summer activities with a well deserved rest.

Storm tryouts and open practices will be held during the month of October for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. If you are interested in more information about the Storm's upcoming activities, you can write to: caggcrew@aol.com or richard_vera@msn.com
