Troy Cougar Club Newsletter
May 3, 2016
The Troy Cougar Club has been very busy over the last couple of weeks. The Troy Cougars hosted their second tournament (Cougar Clash 2) of the year on April 23,2016 with great success. The tournament showcased 5 age divisions, which included 11 different leagues and 20 teams. This tournament was a 1-day tournament that included 31 games at 3 different venues across the capital district. This brought an estimate of 200 people to the downtown Troy area.
The Troy Cougar Club would like to thank all the leagues/teams who participated in the tournament (Table 1). They would also like to thank Eric Medved, the volunteers, the officials, Parents, Athletes and Venues (Table 2) for supporting this tournament. If it was not for everyone’s help it could not have been a success.
The cougars would like to congratulate all the teams for all their hard work and play. Below please find the final tournament results. We look forward to seeing all these teams in the future.

WHATS NEW! Troy Cougars 16U Boys Second Team!
If no one has noticed the league has two 16U Boys teams this year. There were so many good athletes that came out for tryout for the 16U division this year the club and coaches thought it would be an injustices to turn away such great talented athletes. So, after a long meeting one night the coaches from 15U boys team Halton Evans and Rodney Green step up and agreed to take on the challenge of the second team both Halton and Rodney continue to impress the club with their dedication program. They continue to prove that building a program is key to it success. Their latest accomplishment proves hard work pays off. They just lead their newly created 16U boy's team to their first championship in the 20th Northeast Shootout on April 30th and May 1st, 2016. Congratulations to the entire team the club looks forward to seeing this team in the future.
