I would like to take this opportunity to say that I have never been more proud of a group of young men than I was this past week. Not only for what you guys accomplished on the field, but also the everlasting impression you left on everyone there in Orlando. There were so many coaches (PW, Jr Midget, and High School) who would come up to us to say they had never been more impressed and awestruck with what we did on the field and also of how we handled ourselves with a quiet straight forward sense of confidence. Case in point; Saturday am; having to stand there and listen for 2 hrs of trash talking from the coaches and players from East Bay. You guys did not flinch or even blink and when the game started you shut their mouths real quick. It has truly been an honor and a privelege to be associated with each one of you and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of PERFECTION. You guys have given me the greatest joy that for so long I only dreamed about and for that I will always be in your debt. Thank you so much. Thanks to you too Alan and John for wanting me to come over here and believing in me and the small things I had to offer.I truly love you guys. Thank you Howard for listening to Alan and John when they asked you can I come to be part of the coaching staff and fighting for me during the league meetings.Your support is immeasurable. Last but definitely not least, thank you to all the parents who at the beginning of this season were not too sure about this new "coach who yells so much and so loud" for accepting and supporting me. I am so proud to be part of the UR family and words still cannot express the appreciation and heartfelt pride that I feel.Thank you all so much.

Like Donna wrote...WOW!!! I am so glad to have been a part of this experience, too, especially spending the time with my son, Luke....#44!...and of course my daughter, Leah who came along, too. Thanks first to the Lord Jesus Christ Who has given all our boys the ability and health to play. Thank you also to the great group of boys. My son has some pretty special friends. It has been a true pleasure going to the games and practices and watching the boys grow in their wisdom of football and actually applying it on the field. :o) Thank you coaches for your great effort that paid off in working so diligently with our boys. Thank you for instilling discipline in them on and off the field and allowing them to trust you and have faith in you, the game, and themselves. Other parents, it has been a pleasure getting to know some of you and seeing why the boys are so wonderful because of great parents like you all. It was awesome to see the support of all the parents like I have never seen before. It was a busy season in our lives, but I'm sad it's over. More than the win, it's what others see in us...that sportsmanlike conduct, caring for others, etc. Oh, don't forget team, parents, and coaches...come to Parkwood Baptist Church for the 10:30 AM service to hear Pastor Jeff Long and a great lunch afterwards. Our boys will be recognized. Have them wear their jerseys and medals. A Proud MOM, Tami Pauley

To the 30 young warriors that provided this old man with joy and memories of a lifetime. Thank you for ALL of the hard work and DISCIPLINE you have displayed in 2006. The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price. Always be humble in winning and learn from defeat. "We are all something, but none of us are everything".

An argument can be made that Union Road Jaguar Champion youth football players in Gastonia N.C., by their very disciplined nature may exude a more relaxed application of confidence throughout their lives because of the valuable lessons taught by the outstanding Coaching staff in your program. Your accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, if you’ll continue to believe in yourselves, is analogous to the converse of Coach Knute Rockne’s famed non-definition of perfection, "I don't know what it is, but I know it when I see it." I can proudly say that I witnessed perfection on December the 9th, 2006 by the North Carolina Jaguars. Congratulations.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! What a great accomplishment our team has made. Did everyone read the comments on the Pop Warner site about our team? Bob Fields wrote an article that made comments such as "...the Jaguar's power defense, hard nosed, gang tackling defense. ...the large and boisterous Union Road crowd was thundering their approval sensing a big time win in this first time championship game appearance by the boys from Gastonia, NC. The Jaguars pumped more air into their leather lunged supporters with a scintillating 61 yard touchdown dash by their tailback. ...the Jags again drove down field and slammed in from the Wranglers one yard line to make the score 39-6." What an honor to have this kind of response for our team. I am not sure we all really know how great a team we have. I heard Tim Brown commenting after the game about the discipline and abilities of our team that he had never seen before in this age group. Our dedicated coaches, players, and parents should all be commended diligently for their commitment to the team this year. I have never in all my years being involved in team sports had the honor to be surrounded by such a great group of parents. I love you all and I am so very proud to have been a part of this experience with you. Thanks to each and every one of you who was always so willing to help this year and eager to contribute. To our coaches, what can I say? You guys are amazing. These boys have responded to you with great respect and dedication. They not only believed in you, but learned to believe in themselves. You will all remain a permanent fixture on many walls, in scrapbooks, and in the hearts of us all. Thank you doesn't come close to express the gratitude. All that's left to say now is................NEXT YEAR!!!

I just wanted to say a big óle CONGRATULATIONS to the JRPW team. You made it to the big dance and performed to perfection. These must be a great group of athletes, and not to mention the coaches. It takes hard work and dedication from both to accomplish what you did. Just remember "anything worth having is worth working for." Good Job Guys!!!!!
