About Coach Caz

Coach Caz is a Fastpitch Softball instructor who conducts private training for all aspects and levels of Fastpitch Softball as well as being the founder of Team Nitro Long Island Fastpitch, a highly competitive fastpitch organization from LI that strives to Educate players through Athletics. TNLI consist of numerous fastpitch softball teams from 12U on up through 18U, providing an environment for players to showcase their talents to college coaches with the goal of being recruited to play colligate level softball.

Coach Caz has been coaching and training Girl’s Fastpitch Softball for

over 15 years, the majority of them at the competitive travel ball level. His experience transcends fastpitch softball from the developmental stages of 8 & Under all the way up through the very competitive 18 & Under pre-colligate levels as well as a 23 & Under College level team.

Coach Caz has enjoyed enormous success throughout his coaching years. It was during his early years when he took several teams to New York State Little League Championships that catapulted him into a full-fledged Fastpitch Trainer and Coach.  Within the Travel ball ranks, teams he has coached have finished in 5th place and 13th place at World Series National tournaments with over 70 teams competing in them. More recently he has been coaching at the 18U College showcase level, where he helps develop and coach players to play softball in college. Not only has he been able to get both of his daughters recruited to very high academic Division 1 and 2 softball programs in the northeast, he has help coach and mentor many other who are currently playing for or have played softball in college during his years of coaching with the Team Long Island fastpitch organization.

The reason for this success can be attributed to the corner stone of Coach Caz coaching philosophy and that is to develop the love of the sport in each and every softball player first and foremost. By doing so, players are then willing to work hard at improving their skill set each and every day. Player training and development should be the primary focus of every coach for a player leading up to college level softball. The benefits of doing so will allow girls to grown and developed as individuals, building self-esteem and confidence in who they are. The end results in all this will be winning both on the softball field and in game of life.
