If you have a desire to play softball in college and potentially receive a scholarship to do so, then you need to market your skills and abilities to college coaches. Recruiting is all about the college-bound prospect finding the coach and not the coach finding the player. There are several ways to do exactly this. One of the more popular ways for college coaches to get a quick understanding of a player is to see her skill set on a video.
Now there is a certain knack to creating a skills video and one that will capture the coach’s attention. Understand that skills videos are not a highlight reel of your daughter’s greatest hits.
Coaches prefer to just watch one that contains the player in a solo setting just performing the skills of hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and/or catching. They know players are not perfect and prefer to see them in action performing the fundamentals. Here they can study their form and mechanics and can then truly understand each player’s strengths and weaknesses.
Coach Caz can help you create a skills video that captures the college coaches immediately and one that will ensure they will watch it from start to finish. This is one of the most important aspects of a video, because as we know first impressions are extremely important.
To create the video, Coach Caz charges a flat fee for the creation of video itself. In addition, there is the standard hourly charge for Coach Caz to orchestra skills being videoed.
Standard video’s of Fielding and Hitting take approximately 1 hour to perform the actually videoing of a player’s skill set. Pitchers and Catchers usually take an additional 30 mins longer to complete.
The following outlines the cost structure to create a video:
