Patriot's 2015 season comes to an end
The Powdersville Patriot baseball team lost in the playoffs to Strom Thurmond on Monday by a score of 5-3. With the loss, the Patriots 2015 Varsity season came to an end. The Patriots finished the season with 13-9 (10-5) record. The 2015 season saw the Patriots defeat 3 top 10 teams in there respective classification ( 14-0 win against #5 ranked team in 1A-CCES, 9-2 win against #2 ranked team in 2A- Chesnee, and two wins against Blacksburg the #6 ranked team in 2A by scores of 3-1 and 5-4). The Patriots made the Playoffs for the second consecutive year in a row. They also defeated Central High School in the playoffs by a score of 7-4 to secure the schools second playoff victory. The 2015 season saw the first players in the Program receive college scholarships. Catcher Chase Barbary received a scholarship to Spartanburg Methodist (SMC). Pitcher Brandon Richeson received a scholarship to Southern Wesleyan University (SWU). The 2015 season also saw players receive awards for there play during the season. Four players were chosen as All Region Players- Chase Barbary (C), Brandron Richeson (P), JT Rowlands (1st) and Hunter Brown (CF). Chase Barbary was selected as a 2015 All State Player and a member of the 2015 S.C. Select Team. The S.C. Select Team is made up of the top 16 players in the state of South Carolina. Chase Barbary was also selected to Diamond Prospects 2015 Gold Glove Team. The Patriot Coaches want to thank all the parents and fans for the support this season. They also want to thank the members of the Baseball Program for the Commitment they showed during the season and for another very sucessful baseball season. Go Patriots!!
Chase Barbary chosen for the S.C. Select Team
Senior catcher Chase Barbary was chosen to be a member of the South Carolina/North Carolina Select Team. Being chosen for this team is the high honor that a high school baseball player can achieve. The South Carolina Select Team represents the Top 16 players in the state of South Carolina. They will play against the North Carolina Select Team during the week of June 10-13. The Select games will take place at Costal Carolina University. The entire Powdersville Baseball Program is extremely happy for Chase on this accompishment. Go Patriots!!
Chase Barbary picks up DP's Gold Glove Award
Chase Barbary was selected to Diamond Prospects 2015 Gold Glove Team. This team is made up of players from 1A thru 4A who have shown strong defensive skills throughout the season. Great job and Congrats Chase!
Chase Barbary honored as a All State Player
Chase Barbary was selected as a 2015 2A All State player by the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association. Chase has collected numerous awards this season including: All Region, All State and S.C. Select Team. Congrats Chase!
Brandon Richeson commits to SWU
Senior pitcher Brandon Richeson made a commitment to play baseball at Southern Wesleyan University. Brandon has been a 2 year starter for the Patriots and has been chosen as Skyline All Region Pitcher during both years. Brandon had a 5-3 record and 1.99 ERA during his junior season. His senior season he had a 7-3 record and 1.75 ERA. The Patriot coaches are very happy for Brandon and wish him nothing but the best. Congrats BRich!! Good Luck!!

Patriots defeat Pendleton to finish 3rd in the Region
The Patriots baseball team defeated the Pendleton Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 on Monday night to win the tie breaker between the two teams and finish 3rd in the region. JT Rowlands (3-1) picked up the win on the mound by pitching a complete game. Hunter Brown led the way offensively with a 3 run homerun. The playoffs start on Thursday, April 30 with the Patriots traveling to Strom Thurmond. Game time-7:00. Go Patriots.

Patriots drop a game to Chesnee
The Patriots Baseball team lost to the Chenee Eagles on Friday night by a score of 14-4. With the loss, the Patriots finished in a tie for 3rd place in the region with the Pendleton Bulldogs. The tie breaker game will be played on Monday, April 27 at Pendleton High School. The winner of the game finishes 3rd in the region and the loser finishes 4th.

Patriots sweep Carolina
The Patriots defeated Carolina on Tuesday by a score of 10-3 and on Wednesday by a score of 11-1. Brandon Richeson (7-1) picked up the win for the Patriots on Tuesday and JT Rowlands (2-1) earned the win on Wednesday. The Patriots will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Chesnee for the final regular season region game. With the wins, the Patriots overall record is 11-6 and have a 9-4 region record. Go Patriots!!
Patriots sweep #6 team in state Blacksburg Wildcats
The Powdersville Patriots baseball team defeated the Blacksburg Wildcats on Friday by a score of 3-1 and also on Saturday night by a score of 5-4. Brandon Richeson (6-1) picked up the victory on friday night by pitching a complete game. Richeson allowed 5 hits, no earned runs and struck out 3. JT Rowlands picked up the victory on Saturday by pitching a complete game. Rowlands allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits. With the win the Patriots improved to 9-6 overall and 7-4 in the region. The Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday at Carolina and home on Wednesday for Senior Night. Go Patriots!!
Patriots split series with Pendleton
The Powdersville Patriots baseball team spilt the season series with the Pendleton Bulldogs by winning 11-1 in game 1 and dropping the second game by a score of 7-5. Brandon Richeson picked up the win the in the first game by pitching a complete game. Richeson gave up 4 hits in 6 innings and striking out 3. The Patriots are now 7-5 overall and (5-4) in region play. The Patriots will be back in action again on Thursday, April 16 with a region home game against Blacksburg. Go Patriots!!
Patriots drop a pair of region games to Woodruff
The Powdersville Patriot baseball team lost a pair of region games to #3 ranked Woodruff by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday and 11-6 on Friday. The games featured two teams ranked in the top 10 in latest polls with Woodruff being ranked 3rd and Powdersville ranked 6th. The Patriots will be back in action on Thursday, April 9th as they host the Pendleton Bulldogs. First pitch at 6:30. Go Patriots!!
Patriots sweep Liberty
The Powdersville Patriots defeat the Liberty Red Devils on Friday night by a score of 6-4. With the win the Patriots completed the season sweep of the Red Devils. Ryan Powers picked up the win on the mound by pitching 6 innings allowing 1 run and struck out 8. Powdersville improved to 5-0 overall on the season and 3-0 in the region. The Patriots will be back in action on Monday, March 23 as they travel to CCES for a 6:30 game. Go Patriots!!
Patriots beat Liberty 11-4
The Powdersville Patriots defeated the Liberty Red Devils on tuesday night by a score of 11-4. Brandon Richeon picked up the win for Patriots allowing 1 hit and no runs. JT Rowlands also pitched 2 innings and had 3 strike outs on the night. Offensively, the Patriots were led at the plate by Chase Barbary who was 3-5 with an RBI. The Patriots improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the region. The Patriots will be in action again on Friday against Liberty at home. First pitch scheduled for 6:30. Go Patriots!!
Patriots defeat Berea at Fluor Field
The Powdersville Patriots defeated the Berea Bulldogs by a score of 6-3 on Monday afternoon on a beautiful day at Fluor Field. Junior Nathan FitzSimmons picked up the win for the Patriots. Senior Chase Barbary led the Patriots at the plate with 2 RBI's on the night. The Patriots are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Liberty to take on the Red Devils in a big region game contest. Go Patriots!!
Schedule Change- Patriots will travel to Liberty on Tuesday, March 17.
Due to the threat of rain on Thursday, March 19, the varsity baseball team will instead travel to Liberty on Tuesday, March 17 to take on the Red Devils. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00. Go Patriots!!
Patriots defeat #2 ranked Chesnee
On Thursday night, the Powdersville Patriots defeated the Chesnee Eagles by a score of 9-2 in the opening of region games. Brandon Richeson (2-0) picked up the win for the Patriots pitching 5 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs and striking out 9. The Patriots improved to 2-0 overall on the young season and 1-0 in region. The Patriots travel to Chesnee on Friday, March 13 for another game with Chesnee. First pitch scheduled for 7:00. Patriots host #2 ranked Chesnee
The Patriots will begin region play on Thursday, March 12 at home against the #2 ranked Chesnee Eagles. If your in the area, come on out and show your support for the Patriots. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30. Go Patriots!!
Patriots win big in Season Opener!!
The Powdersville Patriots Baseball Team opened the 2015 season on Monday night with a 14-0 victory over the Christ Church Cavaliers. The Cavaliers entered the game as the Preseason ranked #5 team in 1A. Brandon Richeson picked up the win for the Patriots. The Patriots will be back in action again on Thursday, March 12 at home against the Chesnee Eagles. First pitched scheduled for 6:30. Go Patriots!!
Patriots Season Opener
The Powdersville Patriots baseball team opens the season on Monday, March 9th with a home game against Christ Church Cavaliers. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 game time. The Cavaliers are pre season ranked #5 in 1A so it should be a good match up between the two teams. The Patrtiots are coming off a season in which they finished tied for second place in the region with a 10-4 region record and a 11-9 overall record. The Patriots are hoping for a nice crowd as the season opens. Go Patriots!!
